Migration using “all-in-one immigration” plugin

Install the Plugin
  • In your XAMPP WordPress site, go to the WordPress Dashboard.
  • Navigate to "Plugins" > "Add New."
  • Search for "All-in-One WP Migration."
  • Install and activate the plugin.
Export the Website
  • Once activated, go to "All-in-One WP Migration" in the WordPress Dashboard.
  • Click on "Export" in the plugin's menu.
  • Choose the "File" option to export to a file (other options may require extensions or premium features).
  • The plugin will prepare your site for export and generate a file (e.g., example.wordpress.2022-01-01-00-00-00.wpress).
Download the Exported File
  • Once the export is complete, click on the generated export file to download it to your local computer.
Set Up Live Server
  • Purchase a domain and hosting plan from a web hosting provider if you haven't already.
  • Install WordPress on your live server using your hosting provider's control panel.
Install the Plugin on Live Server
  • On the live server's WordPress installation, install and activate the "All-in-One WP Migration" plugin through the WordPress Dashboard (similar to XAMPP).
Import the Website
  • In the live server's WordPress Dashboard, go to "All-in-One WP Migration" > "Import."
  • Drag and drop the previously exported file (downloaded from XAMPP) or use the file upload option.
Confirm Import
  • The plugin will start importing your website from the XAMPP file to the live server.
  • Once the import is complete, the plugin will prompt you to confirm the import by clicking on "Proceed."
Update Permalinks and Site Settings (if needed)
  • Visit Settings > Permalinks and ensure the structure matches your XAMPP site.
  • Update site URL settings (if required) by going to Settings > General.
Test Your Live Site
  • Visit your live website, check pages, posts, links, images, and functionalities to ensure everything works fine.

This method simplifies the migration process using the “All-in-One WP Migration” plugin, handling most of the transfer, including the database, files, plugins, themes, and configurations, without the need for manual steps or additional technical knowledge.
