Website backup using “all-in-one immigration” plugin

Install the Plugin
  • In your XAMPP WordPress site, go to the WordPress Dashboard
  • Navigate to "Plugins" > "Add New."
  • Search for "All-in-One WP Migration."
  • Install and activate the plugin.
Backup the Website
  • Once activated, go to "All-in-One WP Migration" in the WordPress Dashboard.
  • Click on "Backup" in the plugin's menu.
  • Click on "Generate backup" button.
  • The plugin will generate a file (e.g., example.wordpress.2022-01-01-00-00-00.wpress).
Download the Backup File
  • Once the backup is complete, click on the generated export file to download it to your local computer.

Website backup without using a plugin​

Files

Use an FTP client to connect to your XAMPP server or directly access the WordPress file on the htdocs folder inside your XAMPP folder and download all WordPress files.(eg. F:\installed software\xampp\htdocs\example.com)

Database

Access phpMyAdmin in XAMPP, select your WordPress database, and export it to a .sql file.
